About garage condos
What is a garage condo?
A garage condo is a private garage you can own, much like a residential condo. You hold the deed to your suite, and the shared parts of the property, like the gates, drives and common areas, are managed through an owners' association.
How is a garage condo different from a storage unit?
A storage unit is rented space inside a shared facility, often with limited hours and a small roll-up door. A suite at The Lux is a private garage behind its own overhead door, with 18-foot ceilings, 24/7 gated access and room to build the space out the way you want. You can own it or lease it. Our own or lease guide has a side-by-side comparison.
What do people keep in a suite at The Lux?
Collector cars, weekend drivers, boats, RVs and motorcycles. Some owners also add a mezzanine lounge or set the suite up as a quiet place to spend time with the collection.
Owning and leasing
Can I own or lease a suite?
Both. Owners hold deeded real property. Leasing gives you the same private suite, access and clubhouse privileges without a purchase. Rent-to-own is available on select suites if you want to start with a lease and buy later.
How much does a suite cost?
Phase II suites start from $370,000. Pricing depends on the suite's size and features. Current pricing for suites to buy or lease is on the availability page.
Is financing available?
Yes. Financing options are available for buyers, subject to credit approval. We can walk you through the details when you tour.
Inside the suites
What comes with a suite?
- 18-foot ceilings, with room for a car lift or a mezzanine
- 14x14 overhead doors on most suites
- Insulated construction with power and water
- Drive-through layouts for larger collections and trailers
Can I customize my suite?
Yes. Owners have added mezzanine lounges, car lifts, epoxy floors, bathrooms and kitchenettes. Climate control is available as an upgrade on select suites. Leased suites are delivered ready to use, with upgrades available on select suites.
Will my boat or RV fit?
Most suites have a 14x14 overhead door, and the drive-through suites have doors at both ends, so you can pull straight through without backing a trailer in. Send us your dimensions and we'll confirm the fit before you buy or lease.
Security and the clubhouse
How is the property secured?
The Lux is gated with RFID entry. Security by Bantam Technologies includes AI-enabled cameras with license plate recognition throughout the property.
Who can use the clubhouse?
Every owner and tenant. The two-story clubhouse is open year-round, with lounges and a conference room.
Visiting The Lux
